Affected by increased production costs, prices for ferrochrome went up continuously in China in early November, but slowed down in increasing in mid-to-late November. Bidding prices for December released by domestic steel mills in late November generally rose with those for high carbon ferrochrome of Baosteel up by RMB1,300/t (USD187/t) to RMB10,800/t (USD1,555/t) by cash ex works delivered to plants
. Thus, prices for ferrochrome increased once again in the Chinese market at the end of November and most producers expected that prices for the material will go up further in the first two weeks of December.
