The Chinese market for indium ingot 99.99% was in the doldrums during July and the situation worsened in August. With trading activity at a standstill, transaction prices in the first half of August were relatively flat but fell rapidly in the latter half. Traders watched the market from the sidelines, depressed at receiving no new orders from downstream customers.
