Chinese molybdenum market showed soft tendency in October. Most ferromolybdenum plants continued to produce for tenders from downstream steel mills last month and rare deals were concluded in the spot market. At the same time, supply of molybdenum concentrate increased slightly after the National Holiday and some producers reduced their offers slightly to ensure sales volumes. But molybdenum concentrate market prices picked up at the end of this month as many producers were busy with long-term orders and supply in the spot market became tight again.
