Influenced by the environmental inspections, many molybdenum ore producers ceased production or reduced output in August. Supply in molybdenum ore market decreased accordingly. Major molybdenum suppliers raised their offers to test the market. Encouraged by increasing raw materials’ prices, ferromolybdenum prices increased accordingly. Although steel mills delayed releasing tender prices, most ferromolybdenum plants refused to sell their materials at lower prices.
