The demand from domestic and overseas markets for cadmium ingot remained soft in early August, so the prices of cadmium ingot and cadmium oxide continued going down. Cadmium ingot producers reduced the output or halted production to check the furnaces, so the supply reduced in spot market. With the reducing supply, the prices of cadmium ingot and cadmium oxide started to rise sharply in late August. Producers held back from selling.
