In early July, as major steel mills released tenders in bulk and pressed ferromolybdenum prices down greatly, Chinese domestic ferromolybdenum prices continued to decrease. After middle July, influenced by the environmental inspections, many molybdenum ore producers ceased production for the overhaul and supply for molybdenum ore became tight. Suppliers raised their offers for molybdenum ore and so did some other molybdenum products in late July.
