BEIJING (Asian Metal) 15 Jul 16 - Prices of PPGI coil in China showed an upward trend this week, supported by increased production cost and traders’ eagerness on lifting prices. The current price of TDC51D+Z 0.5mm*1,000mm*C (with the ocean-blue color) in Shanghai is RMB6,200/t (USD927/t) VAT included, up by RMB200/t (USD30/t) compared with that of a week ago. However, the demand from downstream consumers remains week. Insiders predict that prices are unlikely to go up further in the coming week.
A trader in Shanghai reported to Asian Metal that the price for PPGI coil TDC51D+Z 0.5mm*1,000mm*C (with the ocean-blue color) from Baosteel is RMB6,200/t (USD927/t) VAT included, up by RMB200/t (USD30/t) compared with that of a week ago. According to the source, Baosteel will maintain its two production lines in June and its monthly output will be reduced by 20%-25%. According to the source, Baosteel has limited traders’ order quantities for August production. As a consequence, traders had enough willingness to move up prices.
