During April, prices for selenium powder in the Chinese market moved down by a further RMB5/kg (USD13/kg) due to the oversupply in the Chinese market and the decline was narrowed down from last month. The European market saw firm offers at the end of the month and domestic prices gradually fund stability, which however bore severe downward pressure. It is predicted that prices for the material no matter in China or in Europe will bear great downward pressure due to the lack of upward support.
The demand for Chinese tellurium metal 99.99%min remained sluggish this month and saw no significant improvement. Domestic suppliers held offers weakly stable, but the downward pressure still couldn’t be ignored. The price for the material is expected to decline in the Chinese market in the coming month.
