Mercury metal market moves steadily throughout April, though price fluctuates from time to time, space keeps at around RMB5-10/kg(USD0.8-1.6/kg). It does not go forward with large price increase or decrease as expected by market insiders. Downstream demand keeps relatively weak in this month and producers keep low level of operating rate. It is easy to get the material on spot market. Mercury catalyst market witnesses chaotic price with quality difference and fierce competition among producers. With more and more PVC companies consuming low level of mercury catalyst, demand for mercury metal would decrease further.
