In November, the Chinese chrome market continued to decline with limited activity. The price of ferrochrome went up slightly in November after falling continuously; the bidding prices were likewise on an uptrend for high carbon ferrochrome in steel mills, and the market was more active than it had been previously. However, with most ferrochrome producers in southern areas having ceased production, those in the north have begun reducing their production as well; the chrome ore market remains subdued in China with the ferrochromium in short supply domestically and demand for chrome ore weakened.
