The mercury metal market saw little movement in August with sufficient supply and few deals on the spot market. Demand from the chemical, clinical and metallurgical industries remained relatively low throughout the month, and consumers are consuming existing stocks. However, suppliers stressed that they were not willing to sell the material at lower prices in response to the sluggish demand.
