In May, Chinese magnesia market generally moved steadily. The market kept flat in the early this month because the demand was slow from Chinese domestic and overseas market, and the price softened. The market improved slightly, with a stable price level, in the second half this month. Suppliers reported that they mainly sell their materials to some long-term customers, and some of them heard Chinese government may cancel Chinese magnesia export quotas in H2 this year. They supported for the new policy because export quotas restricted magnesia export and many suppliers could not sell materials to overseas customers due to no magnesia export quotas.
