Pig iron market sees slight price appreciation of RMB50-80/t in August, which is caused by cost increasing of pig iron due to price rise of bulk raw material, coupled with short supply of the material as many pig iron companies closed due to environmental protection. Market price of cast iron rose in mid August by RMB50-100/t, while domestic markets see few activities.
