1 Dim outlook seen in domestic economy
HSBC released economic data in May with shows that the initial value of PMI of domestic manufacturing industry was 49.6 in the month, falling back by 0.8% from the final value of 50.4 in April, lower than the critical point in recent seven months. Among indexes, the initial value of new order declined significantly by 1.7% to 49.5% for the first time after seven months’ consistent increase, which drove down the comprehensive index of May greatly by 0.5%, and index of new order shrank rapidly. The index of output dropped slightly by 0.1% to 51 and still expanded, and purchase stocks and occupational index still tightened and fell back from 49.3 of final value in April to 49 for the latter, while initial value of supply time from suppliers have improved.
