Selenium market witnesses a sharp fall in prices throughout March. China imports a large volume of selenium in January and last December, which oversupply the weak downstream demand. With the decrease in manganese prices, manganese smelters reduce the production and selenium dioxide suppliers are eager to sell with high inventory at hand. Selenium suppliers are under pressure of suffering losses and reluctant to import from the global market. Tellurium market remains stable in March when thin deals are made. End users continue to purchase from hand to mouth and the trading volume is limited to several hundred kilos.
