Some Chinese domestic stainless steel mills suspended production due to poor downstream market performance in early February, which led to weaker demand for manganese flakes
. As a result, the mainstream prices for manganese flake 99.7% dropped by RMB100/t (USD16/t) to RMB11,650-11,950/t (USD1,864-1,912/t) ex-works during the month, and export offers followed suit, down by USD20/t to USD1,940-1,990/t FOB China with scant purchasing from overseas consumers.
