Envision Group to build new battery plant in Inner Mongolia

According to Inner Mongolia Erdos Development and Reform Commission recently, Erdos Envision Modern Energy Equipment Industrial Park project will commence construction of main workplaces in late March.
With a total investment of RMB10 billion (USD1.55 billion), the project will be a energy storing, power battery and industrial chain project with a total production capacity of 20GWh. Its construction was started in December 2020.
According to the Commission, the project will consist of three stages. Stage one will have an investment of RMB4 billion (USD0.62 billion) and a designed battery production capacity of 6GWh, and stage two and stage three will have an investment of RMB3 billion (USD0.46 billion) respectively and a designed battery production capacity of 14GWh in total.
