Chinese antimony ingot prices decrease

A consumer in Guangxi province mentioned that their suppliers offer RMB41,000/t (USD5,906/kg) EXW D/P for antimony ingot 99.85%min EXW D/P now and some of them could accept a counteroffer of RMB500/t (USD72/kg) for firm bids, unchanged from the bottom price early this week, when they just purchased about 60t at RMB40,500/t (USD5,834/kg) EXW D/P, but down by RMB1,500/t (USD749/kg) from two weeks ago. They earlier purchased around 200t at RMB42,000/t (USD6,050/kg) in the middle of February.Asian Metal Copyright Insiders are of the opinion that the prices would show the downtrend in the coming week.Asian Metal Copyright The source said, "As most downstream consumers still postpone resuming their productions, the market sees poor deals. Some producers are in a hurry to sell now due to the decreasing prices in past days, so we think the prices would continue going down to RMB39,500/t (USD5,690/kg) in the coming week."

The consumer, having a consumption capacity of 15,000tpy of antimony ingot 99.85%min and about 300t of stocks now, expects to consume about 400t this month, unchanged from last month.

A trader in Hunan province stated that they offer RMB40,500/t (USD5,834/kg) EXW D/P for antimony ingot 99.65%min presently and could accept RMB40,000/t (USD5,762/kg) for regular clients, down by RMB500/t (USD72/kg) from the bottom price at the end of last week.Asian Metal Copyright A trader in Hunan province stated that they offer RMB40,500t USD5,834kg EXW DP for antimony ingot 99.Asian Metal Copyright The source said, "Although we offered actively early this week, we didn't get any orders as most consumers held wait-and-see attitudes with weak demand. They last sold about 60t at RMB40,500/t (USD5,834/kg) early last week.

The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of 150t of antimony ingot 99.65%min and about 300t of stocks currently, unchanged from end of last month, expects to sell 100t this month and sold about 60t last month.
