Chinese black silicon carbide prices fell slightly in September
Green silicon carbide market was stable on the whole. Demand for green silicon carbide natural lump, grain sand and JIS600-1500 was soft with stable weakly prices; JIS2000-3000 micro powder was still popular with firm price; F240-280 micro powder was replaced by fused alumina micro powder, so the supply was no longer tight, but the price did not yet drop.
The export market was relatively weak. Except for a few hot-selling green silicon carbide micro powder, the export prices for other specifications of silicon carbide decreased to varying degrees . Demand in Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia decreased, with India's steel production falling, refractory plants reducing production, and demand falling most obviously.
. The producers in Gansu who resumed production gradually sold materials in September, and the market supply increased . The downstream demand further decreased, and most steel mills reduced production due to environmental inspections and slow sales of steel products.Green silicon carbide market was stable on the whole.
