Thousands of companies in Henan closed for safety hazards

It is learnt from Emergency Management Ministry of Henan that the unannounced inspections on safety hazards which lasted for half a year ended
The investigation starting from 21 December, 2018 aims to combat illegal activities and solve problems in safety production by centering on 61 key points in six areas.
In order to consolidate the achievements, Henan government will continue to conduct special actions on risk prevention in nine industries such as dangerous chemicals, coal and non-coal mines, tailing inventory, transportation, property construction, smelting, flood and drought control and geological disasters and 58 problems from July to late October.
. By 30 June, 754 safety hazards were found in Henan and 993 companies were shut down with 452 companies being seized or revoked of licenses . The administrative penalty reached RMB70 . 15 million (USD10 . 22 million) . Besides, there were 2,501 exposures, 1,115 notifications of criticism, 8,549 persons for question and 121 persons for punishment during the inspections.
