70% of coal overcapacity cut task for 2018 finished in Inner Mongolia

Inner Mongolia reportedly planned to shut down 11 local coal mines with annual capacity of 4.05 million tons in 2018. After the application of the enterprises, 22 local coal mines with annual capacity of 11.1 million tons have been determined to withdraw, 11 mines and an annual capacity of 7.05 million tons more than planned. After the target was determined, the autonomous region made a public announcement to accept social supervision and intensified the closure and withdrawal. By the end of July, 15 mines and an annual capacity of 7.8 million tons had been closed, completing 70% of the annual task.
