Jilin Carbon resumes construction of 120,000t of large-size project of ultra-high power graphite electrode

Jilin Carbon resumed the construction of its 120,000t of large-size project of ultra-high power graphite electrode in April 2018. With a total investment of RMB2.45 billion and an area of 0.7 square kilometers, the project is constructed in two phases. The first phase, which has an investment of RMB1.7 billion and plans to construct 80,000t of ultra-high power graphite electrode with the diameter of 600mm or larger, is resumed construction in April 2018 and expected to be finished in June 2019. The second phase has an investment of RMB750 million and plans to construct 40,000t of ultra-high power graphite electrode with the diameter of 600mm or larger, 20,000t of graphitized cathode and 60,000t of electrode paste. The whole project will be put into operation in June 2021, expecting to achieve an annual sales income of RMB3.1 billion.
