Chinese aluminum foil industry actively responds to AD/CVD investigations of USA

United States Department of Commerce made a preliminary verdict of 16.56%-80.97% countervailing range on aluminum foil imported from China on August 7th. As for this, China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association opposes firmly and supports Chinese aluminum foil enterprises to continue to respond to anti-dumping and countervailing (AD/CVD) investigations conducted by USA. In addition, the association will organize domestic exporters to conduct harmless demurrer on the AD/CVD investigations in order to maintain free and healthy trade environment between Chinese aluminum industry and American aluminum industry.
According to China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, the marketization degree of Chinese aluminum foil is very high and the competitiveness is improved attributable to advanced technical equipment, high-efficiency controlling on production costs and excellent customer services; China has exported aluminum foil products of high cost performance and has offered excellent services to America for a long time, which plays a positive role in the development and employment security and other economic and social benefits of American downstream industries of aluminum foil. Both China and America will suffer great losses if America takes the liberty in adopting trade remedy measures regardless of high degree of complementation between Chinese and American aluminum industries. Chinese aluminum industry will take necessary measures to maintain its rights and interests. China hopes that American organs of survey will conduct surveys in accordance with facts and comprehensively weigh interests of their upstream and downstream industries and enterprises rather than injure interests of downstream users of American aluminum foil industry and Chinese exporters in order to overprotect its aluminum foil industry.
