Chinese and Pakistani enterprises sign 38 trade cooperation agreements

Recently, Ministry of Commerce, PRC (MOFCOM) and Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan jointly held the Signing Ceremony of China-Pakistan Trade Cooperation Projects in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, with nearly 100 delegates from the government department, industrial association and enterprises participating in the activity. The signing ceremony of one of exchange activities in Pakistan, taken part in by Chinese trade promotion group of nearly 30 delegates organized by MOFCOM.
During the ceremony, enterprises of both sides signed 38 trade agreements in total, with the contract value totaling USD325 million, accounting for 17% of China’s overall imports from Pakistan in 2016. Products signed in contracts include many advantage products of Pakistan such as copper cathode, fishmeal and marine products.
Sun Weidong, Chinese ambassador to Pakistan pointed out in the address that China will hold China International Import Expo in 2018. Khan, the guest of honor of Pakistan expressed that it is the practical measure to impel economic and trade contact between China and Pakistan that MOFCOM organized trade promotion group to exchange and sign contracts in Pakistan, indicating that Chinese government pays high attention to trade between the two countries, which will be beneficial to the mutual benefit of the two sides and deepen economic and trade relationship between China and Pakistan.
