According to the announcement of Huayou Cobalt, Huayou International Mining (Hong Kong) Ltd
AVZ mainly engages in mineral exploration in Africa, including the exploration of copper, vanadium, lead, zinc, lithium, tin and gold, and holds 60% of interests of Manono project in Congo (DR). The project gets the exploration right and has certain prospecting potentiality . Up to 30 June 2016, the overall assets of AVZ was AUD2 . 0758 million, with the net asset of AUD2 . 0408 million, and its net profit was negative AUD479,700 in 2016.
Huayou Cobalt expressed that acquiring additional stocks of AVZ will help it to develop lithium resources which are necessary for Li-ion new energy material.
