Vale Company’s output for nickel was 71,400t in the first quarter of 2017, down by 14.0% QOQ and down by 2.9% YOY.
Due to the decreased output for matte nickel in Indonesia and the annual maintenance of Matsusaka in Japan, the output for nickel decreased by 25.4% QOQ in the first quarter of 2017; affected by the business problem in Thompson of Canada, the output for the material declined substantially by 33.3% on QOQ in the first quarter of 2017 when the output in this region was limited by the single furnace production strategy and others.
