Peru's annual copper outputs to rise to 3.1 million tons in 2021

Minister of Peruvian Energy and Minerals noted that the country will raise copper outputs gradually and achieve the figure of 3.1 million tons by 2021, expecting outputs during this and next years to be 2.35 million tons both.
Last year, Peru had surpassed China and became the second largest producer of copper, which was attributed to the output increase from the LasBambas project of MMG and the expansion of CerroVerde of Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold Inc.
