Latin Resources intercepts economic grade lithium at Maria del Huerto project

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 17 Feb 17 - On February 16, 2017, Latin Resources Limited (“Tatin” or “the Company”) has received economic lithium grade assays from 20 samples taken from the Maria del Huerto mining tenements in San Luis, Argentina.
The 20 samples were taken from three pegmatites within and adjacent to old mine workings during a first pass mapping and sampling field program at the end of January, 2017 . The results returned have confirmed that economic grades of lithium are contained within one of target prospects with 5 of the 20 samples being 1% Li2O or higher with the highest grade of all samples being 1 . 93% Li2O.
Additionally, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Maria del Huerto lithium project will be completed and submitted in March. Exploration and resource development drillings will commence in April/May . Resources estimate will be completed in Q2 of 2017 with mining studies to follow . Significantly, initial drilling at Catamarca project displays visual spodumene at depth.
