Related officials from the Bureau started to inspect all commodities for this shipment and concluded that the total volume of copper load in the ship reached 209 trucks with about 11,230t in wet weight, a decrease of more than 97t compared from the B/L weight . After further calculation, the dry weight reached only about 10,070t, a shortage of more than 142t, or 13 . 9% with value of nearly USD250,000 . The shortage of wet weight material was the major reason for the weight loss . Currently, the Bureau has already reflected the case to related import enterprise and meanwhile presented weight certificate for enterprise’s trading settlement and compensation claim.
