BEIJING (Asian Metal) 20 Oct 16 - Jinzhou Titanium Industry Co. (Jinzhou Titanium or the Company for short) announced the price increase of RMB500/t (USD75/t) in domestic market for all its titanium dioxide pigments on 18 Oct.

“Owing to the significant price rise on ilmenite as well as the transportation cost, coupled with the relatively tight supply of our spot material, we have decided to increase further the price on Tuesday of this week after we raised quotations by RMB300/t (USD75/t) and USD80/t on export market on 30 Sep,” said a source from the Company.

According to the source, the company produced about 4,000 tonnes for titanium dioxide in September and would maintain the same output in October, holding 3,000 tonnes of healthy stocks at present. They are selling at around RMB15,000/t USD(2,238/t) for domestic agents and end-users and USD2,100/t on export market respectively, up actually by about RMB500/t (USD75/t) and USD100/t compared with early September.

Located in Jinzhou, Liaoning province, Jinzhou Titanium was the predecessor of Chinese titanium dioxide production through chloride route and owns an annual production capacity of 60,000 tonnes for titanium dioxide.
