In January, demand for Chinese ferrosilicon still kept stable but the price of ferrosilicon rose in domestic and overseas market since early this month impacted by the short inventory. Some foreign buyers suspended the purchase plan and just took a wait-and-see attitude towards the future market, as ferrosilicon export offers are quite chaotic.
It was learned that the purchase price of domestic steel mills increased with large markup by RMB100-200/t compared with those of December.
