Rare earth prices went up due to the storage of major plants despite persistent soft demand in November. In December, rare earth demand shows no sign of reviving and the prices slide. Suppliers are under pressure to make deals. Downstream industries remain weak, which leads insiders to lack confidence toward rare earth market in January.
