As the steel and related refractory industry entered the slack season in July, the brown fused alumina market moved even slower, and some producers in Henan even cut down output. Export market was sluggish and overseas consumers kept a watch and see attitude to the market as the debt-crisis deepened in Europe and equipment maintenance started in America. White fused alumina market ran steady and slow, although the demand slight dropped in this off-season.
