After one-month’s slow market in November, the notice of power price increasing made ferrosilicon producers become confident in the market while ferrosilicon market didn’t improve to a large extent as anticipated. Attributing to the high production cost, some producers increase their quotations by a small margin, but the concluded volume remains small. The whole market remains slow throughout December. The mainstream price for ferrosilicon 75% is at RMB6,300-6,400/t ex works and ferrosilicon 72% at RMB6,100-6,200/t ex works.
