After a markdown of RMB150-200/t in October, prices of seamless pipe continued to move down by RMB200/t in the domestic market of China this month. In the meantime, the market performed not so satisfying in the traditional slow season. Meanwhile, as leading steel mills such as Baotou Steel lowered prices for December delivery by RMB50-250/t, traders were not confident of the coming month and worried about a further price decline. Seeing increasing capital pressure with the arrival of year end, insiders deem prices are likely to further go down in the following month.
