Hunan Shizhuyuan Non-ferrous Metals Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Shizhuyuan) is a huge state enterprise integrated by exploration, mining, beneficiation, smelting and trading as well as one of the comprehensive utilization bases of the largest five mineral resources in China. The company’s protogenous bismuth ores rank one globally, while the tungsten concentrates production ranks two globally. On December 28, 2009, following the strategic reorganization of China Minmetals and Hunan Non-ferrous Holding Group, Shizhuyuan became an important member of China Minmetals, one of the Fortune 500 companies. In 2010, the company achieved operation revenue of RMB1.02919 billion with total profits of RMB114.13 million. Now with total assets of RMB1.66396, the company can annually produce 1, 253t of high purity bismuth and almost 5, 500t of tungsten concentrate.
On May 30, the retiree of Shizhuyuan made troubles for the delayed construction of the houses built with funds collected by them. They were anxious that those houses were unable to be finished for the local housing price nearly doubled the fund-raising price. Currently, it is the key point for the owned enterprises to reform the proper and equal mount guard policy, while they need to face the influence of some crowd’s interests.
One official of the company noted that this event does not influence the normal production of bismuth, tungsten and other products. The operation is uninfluenced and the miners on the job can work as usual.
