EU makes first anti-dumping sunset review final ruling on China-related grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel

On January 17, 2022, the European Commission announced that it made the first anti-dumping sunset review final ruling on grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel with a thickness greater than 0.16mm originating in China, Japan, South Korea, Russia and the United States, and decided to continue to impose anti-dumping duties on the grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel from China, Japan, South Korea, Russia and the United States in the form of a minimum price. If CIF prices of the products involved are lower than the minimum price, it will impose the anti-dumping duties which are equal to the difference between the minimum price and the import price, but the anti-dumping tax rate shall not be higher than the specified ad valorem tax rate; no anti-dumping duties will be levied on the involved products whose import price is equal to or higher than the minimum price. The EU CN codes of the products involved are ex 7225 11 00 (TARIC codes are 722511 00 11, 7225 11 00 15 and 722511 00 19) and ex 7226 11 00 (TARIC codes are 722611 00 12, 7226 11 00 14, 722611 00 16, 7226 11 00 92, 722611 00 94 and 7226 11 00 96.) The dumping investigation period in this case is from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, and the damage analysis period is from January 1, 2017 to the ending date of the dumping investigation period.
