Liaoning: Over 80% of steel production capacity to realize ultra-low emission during 14th Five-Year Plan period

On January 10, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Liaoning Province issued a notice soliciting public opinions about measurers on the battle against pollution. According to the draft, ultra-low emission transformation will be implemented in sintering, pelletizing, coking, iron-making and steel rolling. During the 14th Five-year Plan period, more than 80% of iron and steel production capacity in Liaoning shall be upgraded to ultra-low emissions.
