1. Market Highlights
Regardless of higher raw materials' prices, CRC and HGI coil prices in some regions like East and South China fluctuated and recorded a decline this month discouraged by weakening demand from downstream industries and slow market performance. Prices in North China rebounded slightly this month after the ultra drop in the previous month. However, the market performance did not show improvement, either. Traders and end users remained inactive in replenishing stocks, showing little optimism for the coming market. Upon rising prices of raw materials, exporters tried to lift prices slightly this month regardless of the softening demand.
In the international market, CRC and HGI coil prices in Malaysia, Vietnam and India continued on the decline this month, discouraged by weak demand from downstream industries and lower prices of imported materials.
