30,000tpy new-type nuclear-grade graphite material project commences building in Baofeng County

On January 4th, a ceremony was held in Baofeng County, Pingdingshan City, Henan Province to launch the construction of Baofeng Wuxing Graphite Co., Ltd.'s 30,000tpy new-type nuclear-grade graphite material project and conduct activities related to the Three Batches Projects in this county.
During the ceremony, Baofeng County signed an agreement for a project with a total investment of RMB160 million (USD25.10 million), launched building for eight projects with a total investment of RMB6.45 billion (USD1.01 billion) and put eight projects, which have a total investment of RMB3.25 billion (USD509.93 million), into production.
Jointly developed by The Institute of Coal Chemistry affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics affiliated with Chinese Academy of Sciences, the 30,000tpy new-type nuclear-grade graphite material project has a total investment of RMB360 million and a total building period of three years. The project will produce products widely used in the aerospace field, war industry, semiconductor field, PV field, hydrogen energy field, solar energy field, battery anode material field, metal casting field, 5G slip filed, nuclear industry and other fields and industries. After the project goes into production, Baofeng Wuxing Graphite's annual sales for graphite products will break 60,000t and it will realize annual output values of over RMB3 billion (USD470.70 million), pay taxes of more than RMB300 million (USD47.07 million) and create more than 300 new jobs.
