MIIT: Ultra-low emission upgrading of 530,000,000tpy steel production capacity to be completed by 2025

On December 3rd, MIIT issued the Green Development Plan for Industry during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period. According to the plan, the steel industry will upgrade technologies and equipment related to coke oven coal gas desulphurization, high-proportion pelletizing smelting, coking negative pressure distillation, coking full-flow optimization and others. The ultra-low emission upgrading of 530,000,000tpy steel production capacity and the clean production upgrading of 460,000,000tpy coking production capacity will be completed by 2025.
