    1 Market Highlights
    1.1 Prebaked anode

    The average price of Chinese prebaked anode continued moving up in November, but the price retreated from late November for the reduced pet coke price.

    1.2 Pet coke

    Pet coke prices in China dropped quickly in November because of the weakened demand and increased supply.

    1.3 Graphite electrode

    Prices of graphite electrode in China went up slowly in November, supported by the reduced supply in north China and firm demand.

    1.4 CPC

    Because of the slowing demand and reduced pet coke price, CPC prices in China went down significantly in November.

    1.5 Coal tar pitch

    For the softened demand, coal tar pitch prices in China dropped quickly in November and purchase activity became slow.

    2.1 China issues regulation on air protection during Winter Olympics

    In early November, local governments in north China issued policies, which requested prebaked anode producers to cut production by 50% during Winter Olympics from late January to mid-March.
