"The 'Fourteenth Five-Year Plan' for the Construction of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Ecological Environment Support Zone in Hebei Province" recently issued by the Hebei Provincial Government has made specific plans in terms of energy structure, proposed to accelerate the promotion of energy structure optimization and transformation, and strove to complete the task of reducing coal consumption targets assigned by country by 2025.
The plan clarifies that by 2025, the installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic power generation will reach 43 million kilowatts and 54 million kilowatts respectively. The total energy consumption volume will be controlled at about 364 million tons of standard coal, and the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption will increase to 11% in total energy consumption volume.
In addition, Hebei Province will strengthen the management and control of the development and utilization of mineral resources. By 2025, the province's coal production capacity will be controlled below 60 million tons, iron ore production capacity will be controlled within 300 million tons, and construction stone minerals and small non-metallic ores will be controlled at around 280 million tons.
