Recently, Liuzhou Steel's 0.85mm×1280mm steel strip was successfully rolled off the assembly line, breaking the world record for the thinnest thickness of conventional wide steel hot-rolled products in the industry.
It is understood that the previous record for the thinnest thickness of conventional wide hot-rolling steel is 0.9mm set by foreign steel mills, and the thinnest thickness of conventional hot-rolling steel is 1.2mm. The successful rolling of steel strip with thickness of 0.85mm this time strongly demonstrates that the 1,780mm hot-rolled production line of Guangxi Iron and Steel has reached the advanced level of the industry in terms of equipment control and process operation.
