Lishen Battery's new energy industrial base to be built in Wuxi

On November 16, an agreement signing ceremony was held in Wuxi city for Lishen Battery's new energy industrial base and research center project. The overall project has a planned investment of RMB11.2 billion (USD1.76 billion) and will cover a land area of about 800 Mu (53.33 hectares).
In particular, the two-phase new energy industrial base will cover a land area of 710 Mu (47.33 hectares) and will have an annual 24GWh Li-ion battery production capacity. With a 12GWh capacity respectively for each phase, the base will go into construction in 2022 with phase one expected to go into operation by the end of 2023. An annual sales revenue of RMB15 billion (USD2.35 billion) is expected for phase one when it ramps up to its nameplate capacity.
