In accordance with the deployment of the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments to clean up and rectify coal storage sites in coal production areas, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia and Shaanxi immediately launched special rectification actions, conducted a comprehensive survey of coal storage sites in their jurisdictions by establishing whistle-blower telephones, doing on-site investigations and inspections and so on, strengthened the supervision and rectification by classification, resolutely cleaned up and banned coal storage sites that have not been approved or have not gone through the procedures for land use, environmental protection and safety, severely cracked down on illegal profit-making behaviors such as hoarding and driving up coal prices in illegal coal storage sites, and effectively safeguard coal operations market order.
