CAERI to invest RMB2 billion to build CAERI East China Base

China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CAERI) recently announced that CAERI plans to build the General Technology Group CAERI East China Headquarters Base Project in Suzhou High-tech Zone. The total planned investment of the project is about RMB2 billion (USD313 million).
The overall construction of the project includes the construction of new energy vehicles and the "Battery, motor, electronic control system" R&D and testing capabilities, and the establishment of new energy vehicle R&D and testing base of CAERI in East China; it will build examining and testing capabilities surrounding electrical architecture, on-board software, wireless communications, smart cockpits and other business sectors, and expand R&D and testing capabilities for application software, industrial software, chips and so on.
