Data shows that the province produced 0.96mt of bituminous coal in Aug, down by 10 . 27% MoM; the output of sub-bituminous coal was 0 . 6mt, up by 40 . 92% MoM.
In the first eight months of this year, Alberta produced 8.59mt of coal in total, down by 33 . 64% YoY . Among them, the output of bituminous coal was 4 . 86mt, increase by more than 2 times YoY; the output of sub-bituminous coal was 3 . 73mt, down by 29 . 16% YoY.
In 2020, the province produced 18.78mt of coal, down by 4 . 05% from 19 . 57mt in 2019 . Among them, bituminous coal output reached 9 . 42mt, up by 26 . 21% YoY; the output of sub-bituminous coal was 7 . 8mt, down by 38 . 4% YoY.
