Coal supply to unified management thermal plants in Hubei down by 23.4% YOY in Sep

According to data from Hubei Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the supply of thermal coal to unified management thermal plants in Hubei recorded about 2.24 million tons in September, a year-on-year decrease of 715,000 tons or 23.4%; correspondingly, thermal coal consumption surged by 712,000 tons or 21.4% YOY to about 4.04 million tons. Thermal coal inventory was 2.12 million tons at the end of September, a decrease of 2.41 million tons versus a year ago.
From January to September, a total of 38.88 million tons of thermal coal was supplied to thermal plants in Hubei, an increase of 7.92 million tons or 25.5% YOY; coal consumption totaled 39.75 million tons in the period, up by 8.51 million tons or 27.2% YOY.
