Coal India's coal production up by 0.5% YOY in Sep

The latest announcement by Coal India Ltd. showed that in September 2021, the company's coal output reached 40.7 million tons, a slight increase of 0.5% from 40.5 million tons in the same period last year. Its coal production for the month fell by 4.5% from 42.6 million tons in August.
The data showed that in the first six months of this fiscal year (April to September), Coal India Ltd. produced a total of 249.8 million tons of coal, up by 5.8% from 236 million tons in the corresponding period last year.
The output of Coal India Ltd. accounts for more than 80% of India's total coal output. The company plans to achieve the coal production for 1 billion tons by the fiscal year 2023-24.
